1. Scope of This Notice
Aegis Luxury Real Estate ("Aegis," "we," "us," or "our"), a California-licensed real estate brokerage (CA DRE# 01328224), respects your privacy and is committed to transparency about our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of Personal Information. This California Privacy Notice ("CA Notice") applies solely to California residents ("consumers" or "you") and supplements our Privacy Policy, which applies to all users of aegishomesre.com, alstonhomes.com, and our related services (the "Services"). It is provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, the "CCPA"), the California Online Privacy Protection Act ("CalOPPA"), and California's "Shine the Light" law. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Privacy Policy.
Under the CCPA, "Personal Information" does not include publicly available information lawfully made available from government records (such as county assessor and recorder data), information a business has a reasonable basis to believe is lawfully made available to the general public, de-identified or aggregated information, or information covered by certain sector-specific laws such as the GLBA and FCRA where those laws apply instead.
2. Notice at Collection
The following tables identify the categories of Personal Information we collect (and have collected in the preceding twelve (12) months), the purposes for which each category is collected and used, and whether each category is "sold" to third parties or "shared" with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not collect additional categories of Personal Information, or use collected Personal Information for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes, without providing you a new notice at collection.

We collect and use Sensitive Personal Information only for the purposes enumerated in CCPA regulations section 7027(m), such as performing the services you request, maintaining and securing accounts, verifying information, and detecting security incidents. We do not collect or use Sensitive Personal Information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about any consumer, and we do not sell or share Sensitive Personal Information. Accordingly, we are not required to offer, and do not offer, a "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" link.
Retention. We retain each category of Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes disclosed above, including to comply with record-retention obligations applicable to California real estate brokers (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 10148, at least three years for transaction records), to resolve disputes, establish and defend legal claims, and enforce our agreements, as described further in Section 9 and in our Privacy Policy.
3. Sources and Disclosures of Personal Information
Categories of sources. We collect the categories of Personal Information identified above from the following categories of sources: directly from you; automatically from your browser or device when you use the Sites; from MLSs and publicly available sources, including government records; from our service providers (such as analytics, communications, hosting, and marketing providers); from advertising networks and social networks; and from business partners and professionals involved in your transaction or referral.
Disclosures for a business purpose. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have disclosed each of the categories of Personal Information identified as collected in Section 2 for one or more business purposes. The categories of recipients include: service providers and contractors (web hosting and infrastructure, data storage, analytics, email and text-message delivery, customer-relationship management, marketing, scheduling, and security providers); transaction parties as directed by you or as customary to a real estate transaction (MLSs, other brokerages and agents, lenders, title, escrow, and closing companies, inspectors, appraisers, and attorneys); professional advisors (legal and accounting); and government entities where required by law. We contractually restrict our service providers and contractors from using Personal Information for any purpose other than performing services for us.
4. "Sales," "Sharing," and Your Right to Opt Out
The CCPA defines "sell" broadly to include disclosing Personal Information to a third party in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration, and "share" to include disclosing Personal Information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your Personal Information for monetary consideration, and we do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Information of consumers under sixteen (16) years of age. However, like most websites, we allow certain advertising and analytics companies to place cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our Sites, and we may disclose the following categories to them so that we can measure our marketing and reach users with more relevant content and advertising, which may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA:
- Identifiers (such as cookie IDs, device identifiers, and IP address);
- Internet or other electronic network activity information (such as pages and listings viewed on our Sites); and
- Inferences drawn from the above.
The categories of third parties to whom these categories are disclosed are advertising networks, data analytics providers, and social networks.
How to Opt Out
You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your Personal Information. You may exercise this right, free of charge and without creating an account, through any of the following methods:
- "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link: Use the link in the footer of aegishomesre.com or alstonhomes.com, or the cookie-preference tool described below, on each site, browser, and device you use.
- Cookie preferences: Visit aegishomesre.com or alstonhomes.com, scroll to the bottom of the page, select "Cookie Preferences," adjust your preferences, and select Save Settings. If you disable or limit certain cookies, some features that rely on personalization may not function.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): Enable an opt-out preference signal such as the Global Privacy Control in a supporting browser or browser extension (available at globalprivacycontrol.org). When our Sites detect a GPC signal from your browser or device, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of Personal Information associated with that browser or device.

Please note that cookie-based and GPC opt-outs are specific to the site, browser, and device you use; if you use a different browser or device, or if you clear your cookies, you will need to opt out again in that environment. Opting out does not mean you will stop seeing advertising altogether; you may continue to see contextual (non-targeted) ads.

On mobile devices, you can limit ad tracking or opt out of ads personalization in your device settings. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through browser settings; the Help portion of your browser's toolbar explains how. 5. Your CCPA Rights
Subject to certain exceptions and verification requirements, California residents have the following rights with respect to their Personal Information:
- Right to Know/Access: You may request, up to twice in a twelve-month period and free of charge, that we disclose: the categories of Personal Information we collected about you; the categories of sources; the business or commercial purposes for collecting, selling, or sharing it; the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it; the categories sold or shared and the categories of recipients; and the specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you. You may request that specific pieces be delivered in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format.
- Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of the information and the purposes of processing. We may request documentation to determine accuracy, and we will use any documentation you provide only for correction and CCPA record-keeping purposes.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete Personal Information we collected from you, subject to exceptions permitted by the CCPA — for example, where retention is necessary to complete the transaction for which it was collected, to help ensure security and integrity, to debug and repair errors, to exercise or ensure another's exercise of free speech or another legal right, to comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act, for certain research with your informed consent, for internal uses reasonably aligned with your expectations, or to comply with a legal obligation, including broker record-retention requirements. Deletion requests require a separate confirmation that you want your information deleted.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: As described in Section 4.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use or disclose Sensitive Personal Information for purposes beyond those enumerated in the CCPA regulations, so this right does not apply to our practices and no limit link is required.
- Right to Non-Discrimination and Equal Service: We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of these rights, including by denying you services, charging different prices or rates, providing a different level or quality of service, or suggesting that any of these may occur.
6. How to Submit, and How We Verify, Requests
You may submit a request to know, correct, or delete by:

- Emailing us at [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request."
Only you, or an authorized agent as described in Section 7, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your Personal Information. You do not need to create an account with us to submit a request. If you submit a request through a method other than those designated above, or your request is deficient in a manner unrelated to verification, we will tell you how to submit it properly or cure the deficiency.
We must verify that the person making a request is the consumer about whom the request relates. To do so, we may ask you to provide up to three pieces of Personal Information (such as your name, email address, and phone number) to match against our records, and, for requests involving specific pieces or deletion of sensitive information, a signed declaration under penalty of perjury where permitted by the regulations. We will use information provided in a request only to verify identity and process the request, and we cannot respond to a request if we cannot verify your identity or authority. We reserve the right to take additional verification steps where we have reason to believe a request is fraudulent.
We will confirm receipt of a request to know, correct, or delete within ten (10) business days and will respond substantively within forty-five (45) calendar days, which we may extend once by an additional forty-five (45) days where reasonably necessary, with notice to you. Requests to opt out of sale/sharing are honored within fifteen (15) business days and do not require verification, though we may ask for information necessary to complete the request. A response to a request to know will cover the twelve-month period preceding the request, or a longer period if you request it and the information was collected on or after January 1, 2022, unless doing so proves impossible or would involve disproportionate effort. If a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee (with a cost estimate provided first) or decline the request with an explanation. In responding, we will not disclose government identification numbers, financial account numbers, account passwords, security questions and answers, or unique biometric data, but we will inform you with sufficient particularity that we have collected that type of information.
7. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We require the authorized agent to provide your written, signed permission to submit the request (or a valid power of attorney under California Probate Code sections 4121 to 4130), and we may also require you to verify your identity directly with us or directly confirm that you granted the agent permission. We may deny a request from an agent who does not submit proof of authorization. Businesses acting as authorized agents must additionally provide a certificate of good standing from their state of organization.
8. Minors
We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from consumers under sixteen (16) years of age, and we do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Information of consumers under 16. Our Services are not directed to children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. California residents under 18 who are registered users may request removal of content they have publicly posted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Data Retention
We retain Personal Information for the period required by law and as reasonably necessary to fulfill ongoing business needs, guided by the following principles: minimizing retention periods to protect user privacy while adhering to governing regulations, including the record-retention requirements applicable to California real estate brokers; maintaining retention periods appropriate to the business purpose for which records were collected; maintaining retention periods needed to support the operation and security of our systems; and consulting legal counsel regarding preservation obligations in response to litigation or law-enforcement requests. When we no longer have an ongoing legitimate business need for Personal Information, we will delete, de-identify, or aggregate it; if that is not immediately possible (for example, because the information is stored in secure backup archives), we will securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible. When disposing of Personal Information, we use reasonable procedures designed to erase it or render it unreadable.
10. Cookies, Tracking, and Do Not Track (CalOPPA)
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser when you visit a website that allow the site to recognize your device when you return. Pixels (also called tags or web beacons) are tiny images that allow a site operator or a third party to track what content is viewed, and are often used in combination with cookies. We use these technologies as described in our Privacy Policy and Section 4 above. You can manage them at any time through the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of each of our Sites, through your browser settings, and through the opt-out resources in Section 4. Disclosure required by CalOPPA: apart from recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control, which we honor as described in Section 4, our Sites do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, for which no uniform industry standard has been adopted. Third parties that collect information on our Sites through cookies and similar technologies are described in Section 4 and in our Privacy Policy.
11. "Shine the Light" (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83)
California's Shine the Light law permits California residents with an established business relationship with us to request, once per calendar year, information about our disclosure of certain categories of personal information to third parties for those third parties' own direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. 12. Changes to This CA Notice
We review this CA Notice at least once every twelve (12) months and may amend it from time to time. Our use of Personal Information is governed by the version of this CA Notice and our Privacy Policy in effect at the time of collection, unless we obtain your consent for a new use. If we make material changes, we will post an updated version with a new "Last Updated" date and provide any additional notice required by law.
